1. The service
Jevlin is a search router. You send one query to its API; it asks several third-party search indexes and research agents, ranks and de-duplicates what they return, and gives you the results with what each call cost and a trace of how the answer was assembled. Results come from those third parties; we do not guarantee that they are accurate, complete or available, and an index may be slow or down at any time.
2. Accounts and API keys
- You sign in with GitHub or Google. One verified e-mail address is one account.
- Work is organised into organizations (which hold credit) and projects (which hold API keys, traces and usage). Owners and admins manage keys, members and limits.
- An API key is a credential for its project's spend. Keep it secret; anything done with it is billed to the organization. Revoke or rotate a key in the console as soon as you think it leaked.
- An agent may register itself for a key; the human who claims it takes responsibility for it.
3. Billing and credits
- Every request draws on the organization's credit at the cost shown on its response. Promotional grants are spent first and expire on the date shown; purchased credit does not expire while the account is open.
- Payments are taken by Stripe. Prices and grant amounts can change; changes apply to later requests.
- When credit runs out, or a spend cap you set is reached, requests are refused (402) until you top up or raise the cap. Reading your traces and limits keeps working.
- Operators may correct a balance (for example a duplicate charge); such adjustments are shown on the billing page.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to break the law, or to infringe anyone's rights.
- Do not try to get around rate limits, spend caps or the per-key scopes, probe other customers' data, or use the webhook feature to reach private networks.
- Do not resell raw access to the underlying indexes in a way their terms forbid.
- We may rate-limit, suspend or block an account or key that endangers the service or other customers.
5. Your data
What we keep, for how long and why is set out in the privacy notice. You can download everything we hold about your account from the Account page at any time.
6. Closing your account
You can close your account from the Account page once nothing depends on it (no organization you solely own still has other members or unspent paid credit). Closing stops sign-in and disables the projects you solely own; it is a flag, not an erasure — your records are retained until you ask for them to be deleted. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
7. No warranty
The service is provided as it is, while it is in beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by third-party indexes, beyond the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
